Shree Krishna Brundavanam

Worshiping GOD ALMIGHTY, while adhering to the strict traditional Vedic guidelines, travelling extensively around the world and preaching, discussing HINDU traditions and beliefs, propagating the Dharma and Ancient Culture, winning the hearts of thousands of devotees who are settled in all corners of the world, the Pontiff of Udupi Shree Puthige Matha, His Holiness 1008 Shree Shree Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji , established a traditional center, named "SHREE KRISHNA BRUNDAVANAM", in Los Angeles serving the needs of the community.

About three years ago, His Holiness Shree Swamiji took a bold step to establish a MATHA for the devotees in America, at a place in West Hills, Los Angeles for the worship of GOD ALMIGHTY, SHREE KRISHNA, the ever granting Shree Hanuman (Mukhya Prana ) and the consecrated Brundavana of the kind and generous Shree Raghavendra Swamigalu .

Within a short time, Shree Krishna Brundavanam won the hearts of a large number of devotees and others alike, who offer their prayers and participate in the daily Pooja services. The highly learned priests, who are well trained in the Vedic System, " Gurukula", of education and who have studied sacred texts and scriptures, perform daily services at the MATHA. Every day a GRAND POOJA (Maha Pooja) is carried out, after which, all those present are served "Maha Prasada", the food which is offered to GOD, as a sumptuous traditional meal.

All religious services and festivals are performed at Shree Krishna Brundavanam or devotees' home upon their request. It is a boon that devotees have priests of such high caliber at the MATHA who can guide, advise and provide prayers and benedictions to people in the community. Shree Krishna Brundavanam has grown to become a focal center for all those who believe in the true VEDIC tradition of worship and others alike.

Till recently, Shree Krishna Brundavanam was at a temporary location in West Hills. We have now moved to a new, spacious and owned location in Woodland Hills. with generous financial support from our devotees, and to better serve and felicitate selfless services for the community, it is our intension to keep expanding the facilities provided at Brundavanam.

With the blessings of Shree Swamiji and the cooperation of all the devotees, daily worship and Annadana are offered just like in Udupi, India, throughout the year. Devotees participate in the "ShodashOpachara Pooja", the daily worship that is offered by the priests with "Bhakti" (devotion) to their heart's content and satisfaction.

Over the past three years, Shree Krishna Brundavanam has conducted many festivals and social events on a grand scale. Last year and this year, Shree Krishna Brundavanam conducted Shree Krishna Leelotsava, Aradhanas, Anniversaries, and many other festivities. Thousands have participated in such events to receive Theertha Prasada. All devotees have expressed their happiness with the meticulous planning and arrangements in conducting such large events.

These events could not have been accomplished without the large number of enthusiastic and dedicated Volunteers and participating devotees. Every one who made such events possible is surely blessed by GOD ALMIGTHY.
